Smoke from Canadian wildfires could impact air quality has been reduced

The updated forecast from the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) shows a reduced impact than previously indicated, from wildfire smoke on Friday, August 18. The air quality index for PM2.5 could reach the “yellow”, or moderate, level across the state. An update will be provided if conditions are expected to worsen.
