Healthy Beginnings

Healthy Beginnings is a Parents As Teachers (PAT) home visiting program for families with children ages 0 to 3, providing child development and parenting information.  Services may include:

Personal Home Visits

• Free child developmental screenings
• Parent-child activities
• On-going support

Parent Group Meetings

• Monthly support meetings
• New topic and information monthly
• Parent-child activities

Play Groups

• Weekly play group at Hillsdale ISD for children 0-3, siblings, and parents
• Lots of fun toys
• Group activities and/or crafts
• Opportunity to play and interact with your child

Links to Community Resources

• Connects families to other services and programs in the community

Incentive Program

• Healthy Beginnings Treasure Shop
• Parents can earn HB bucks for shopping by attending play groups, parent groups, immunizations, and well child
