The past three years, our annual Children's Charity Ball (In Memory of Trey Bowman) has been a great success, largely in part to the generous participation and donations from local businesses and community members.  Our programming is an important part of educating our community to keep children safe.  The first charity ball focused on Abusive Head Trauma, the second ball raised awareness on Infant Safe Sleep, and last year's ball delved into child sexual abuse prevention.  Through the support over the last two years we have been able to support programming through the purchase of new Baby Think it Over babies to teach child abuse prevention at our local schools, as well as producing a large ad/public service campaign for Safe Sleep.  We also continue to raise awareness and present trainings to Hillsdale County residents on child sexual abuse prevention.

On Saturday, February 9, 2019, we will again gather for this amazing event at a new location:  The Searle Center located at Hillsdale College.  The Charity Ball will be a Casino Royale theme and will feature speakers on Human Trafficking at a local level.  One of CAPA's primary advocacy and educational campaigns is child sexual abuse prevention; sex trafficking of our youth is occurring right here in Hillsdale County.
